Two additional Los Angeles FC players have tested positive for COVID-19, the team announced Friday.
The news comes two days after LAFC's 2-1 victory over the Houston Dynamo and three days after a confirmed positive test. All three players in question have entered self-isolation and will be monitored by the club's medical staff, the team announced.
"LAFC has learned that two additional players have been confirmed positive for COVID-19 in testing conducted following Wednesday's 2-1 victory over the Houston Dynamo," LAFC said in a statement. "All other players and members of the Club have returned consecutive negative test results and do not have any symptoms.
"For precautionary reasons due to the additional confirmed positive results, the Club has opted to cancel all in-person activities at the Performance Center until further notice."
LAFC (9-7-4, 31 points) secured a playoff berth for the third straight season with Wednesday's win over the Dynamo.
